This is the Parkinson Clan, with families coming from Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Southern Utah. We had not all been together for several years, we used to have an annual reunion at Lake Powell on a houseboat. But......we have all gotten older and now our kids are getting married and having kids. We are all spread out over the country and it was great to be all together for several days!
Adam and Holly were at her family's home in Gunnison for the fourth, so we missed them.
Grandma Berry, Grandma and Grandad Parkinson, LaNea, Kallie, Kent and Chip.
Sharon, Clayton and Mokie.
Kallie and Dave, Kim and Kevin Coles
Fanone and Chip, Adrienne and Annaliese Parkinson
LaNea and Rob Clement, Dan and Jamie White with Taylor and Parker, Brian and Shelbie Clement and (baby girl Clement due in December) and Katie Clement.
The cousins all had their own night out for pizza, shopping and fun in Park City.
Kent hates to pose for pictures and was trying to escape.
When he was prompted to pose, these are the "SEXY !@#)?" pictures that he posed for.
OLYMPIC PARK: The whole family from the youngest 2 year old to Great Grandma Berry all went to Olympic Park. We did the ziplines, the alpine slide and watched the Olympic skiers do jumps in their exhibition show. We then all went to lunch and some even went shopping for cowboy boots in Park City as well as the factory stores.
That night we all watched a video presentation of Grandma Berry and Grandma and Grandad Parkinson in the "good old days". Grandma Berry gave us a very amusing and loving synopsis of our family history. We viewed pictures of past reunions, family pictures and overall built memories and love for each other. Thanks Dave and Chip for the great video presentations. Other nights included movies on the big screen (Avatar) and lots of card games, pool, video arcade and Foosball. Of course we also spent time walking the two adorable dogs, Mokie and Zee.

RIVER RAFTING: We decided to go on a river rafting trip down the Weber River near Morgan. It was 6 miles down river and while it is usually just Level 2 rapids, because the river is currently twice its normal flow, we had some more adventurous rapids and some 3's with names like Rock Alley, Splice Rock and Killer Pillars. The water was cold, just further increasing our resolve to stay out of the cold water and not capsize our raft. Our guide was great and told us a lot about the history and geology of the area too. We were the only ones of the family who went, but it turned out to be one of our favorite things!!

PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT: We rode their new Alpine Coaster ride which is like a roller coaster, but you have your own separate car. It is on a track so they say you can't go off track like you can on the Alpine Slide when you get going too fast. Trent dared me to not brake at all and "open it all the way up", so I did and while I thought I was going to go off the track once, I didn't- it was awesome!! The ride pulls you up the hill just like a coaster and it was a nice relaxing little ride up, and a fast mile ride down- lots of fun!

MOOSE ON THE LOOSE!! We loved the cooler weather- 43 degrees in the morning and the fact that we saw lots of deer, a porcupine, moose, elk, etc.

We rented a 4200 square foot cabin where each family had their own bedroom. The bedrooms had a queen sized bed and at least 2 (in some rooms 4) twin bunk beds- so everyone had a bed. There was also a huge kitchen, dining and living room, upstairs loft rec room with pool table and foosball, and a family room /theater room. It also had satellite and wireless internet with a deck and hot tub. It was perfect!

The male grandkids and great grand kids.
The granddaughters!
View from up above the cabin. Notice the coats- it was 105 when we left St. George- what a respite!
Of course Kent had a thermometer checking the temps.
Grandma and Great Grandma enjoying the deck watching squirrels.
Celebrating with the graduates. Annie graduated from high school (starting at U of U next month), Adrienne graduated from elementary school, Nicole graduated with her BSN/RN and Kevin with his Associates, Brian with his Bachelors from Dixie and Taylor from preschool. Congrats!
Watching the family video of Parkinson memories "then and now".
Grandma brought everyone gifts from their trip to Europe. All the daughters and granddaughters got beautiful scarves. Annie looks a bit like Elizabeth Smart here.
