Now that we have so many mature trees, the birds love our yard. We have had several nests, but the hummingbird nests are new this year and they are the most neurotic! They certainly have "little man syndrome", tiny little bodies, but totally full of sass. They choose to build their nests right in the main traffic patterns, by the front door or by the garage. Then they cuss out anyone daring to move into their territory. This includes UPS delivery guys, the cats, and of course us!
The nests are so tiny and the eggs even smaller. I had to move fast to get out the ladder, get up it, take the picture and get away before the speedy little buggers fly back! So, sorry about the slight blurriness, but I am intimidated by the tiny tyrants!
