New to Blogging

I am trying to create a family blog. Nicole had made us one before, but she did all the posting, editing, etc. So, now that she no longer lives here, I am trying to figure it out for myself. As you can see from the banner and the way my posts aren't fitting into my background, I don't know what I am doing yet. But, I figure a messed up blog is better than none at all.
